New knowledge is translated into solutions

Blunico continuously cooperates with knowledge institutions to gain access to the newest knowledge. We apply this knowledge in our company and translate it into solutions of high value to our customers.

As an example, we have been involved in the advanced technology project ‘Innovac’ in collaboration with Aarhus University, Danfysik A/S and Aarhus University School of Engineering. The purpose of the project was to develop a particle therapy system for cancer patients. The Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation (Højteknologifonden) funded the project with DKK 10 million and the project partners provided an additional DKK 10 million in co-financing.

With this innovation project we became the first metal sub-supplier to join a National Advanced Technology Foundation project targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises.
